I do such by aligning the ribbon in the wreath with interior textiles to carry the same theme.
Behind the wreath, I would also place a door knocker sleeve or felt buffer to avoid scratches on the finish on high gloss lacquered doors. A very high-end install will include the protection of the substrate.
